Short Bio

Paul Dalmeyer is a part time academic with the Universities of Cape Town and Stellenbosch. He has retired from active private practice as a Obstetrician and gynaecologist with 30 years of experience. He is still active in Reproductive medicine on a part time basis and holds a certification of the College of Medicine (CMSA) He has a keen interest in management in the private hospital sector as well as the educational future of specialist and sub-specialist education in the developing world. He holds a PhD in this aspect of the medical profession. He has been a founder and past presidents of both the South African Menopause Society (SAMS) and South African Society Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy. He has served as a board member of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) for 8 years and served as a non-executive director of LIFE Healthcare Holdings board. He is a qualified mediator having completed a UCT & MiM accredited medical and commercial mediator course. He believes mediation is an ideal platform for leadership development in the corporate world and the most effective tool to mediate in medical and commercial conflicts
