Short Bio

As a mediator I sincerely believe that Facilitative Mediation is an effective and much needed approach to solve disputes or conflict between individuals, groups and withing communities. This approach allows me to assist parties to find themselves the best solution with regard to their needs, expectations and interests. I have committed myself to guide you with neutrality, and confidentiality. With values like mutual respect, listening, searching for the gold within each other I undertake to guide you to a win-win solution. The following qualifications and experience in the fields of it will be applied in the Mediation process: BA Psychology, BTh, LicTh [UWC], BProc, Cert. in Management for Church Leaders [UNISA], Cert. in Legal Practice [LSSA/UCT], MTh cum laude [US], Course in Project Management [NWU], Course in Stephen Covey 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Course in Church and Community conflict facilitation [Commuitas/US], Course in Advanced Mediation Skills [Centre for Conflict Resolution, UCT]. And I am currently in the final year for my PhD Law in Land and Housing Jurisprudence at UCT. During the transitional phase of democracy I was appointed by the Northern Cape Government to chair a Committee that had the task to facilitate the disestablishment of ten local municipalities as well as four transitional councils and establish four new local municipalities; to disestablish two regional municipalities and 4 divisional councils and establish out of them two new District municipalities. This process involved also conflict resolution, peace building and reconciliation. Me and my team drafted the Legislation for publishing in the Northern Government Gazette that gave effect to this new legal entities and its capacities. As admitted attorney I have done cases in commercial law, law of delict, civil law, employment law, family law, customary law, divorce, estate administration.
