Paul Spiller is a General Practitioner who did his medical studies at UCT. Has a B. Sc. from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a registered Homeopath and has experience in alternative medicine. He was in private practice for 20 years and has been administrating public hospitals for the last 9 years. He has an interest in dispute resolution and has considerable experience gained in both the private and public health sector. He believes that a small minority of people are belligerent and that most people are accommodating and willing to resolve issues in a non-confrontational manner once they have had the opportunity to voice their concerns. He enjoys explaining to people the processes involved in the treatment of people and hopefully can offer an explanation what went wrong. He believes that health professionals do have the interest of their patients at heart and that if something does go wrong, then an explanation to the patient goes a long way in resolving the issue. He also believes that patients do not get any enjoyment out of suing their health professionals and that by resolving the dispute amicably, all parties benefit.
