Henry is a Doctor in Law, an admitted attorney and in practice since 1985. He is a respected member of the legal fraternity in the Eastern Cape. Henry is a former President of the Attorneys Association of the South Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth. He has a wide range of experience both in practice as well as, academically. In practice he has appeared in both the High Court as well as the Lower Courts. Academically, he holds the degrees B.Proc, LLB, LLM and LLD (Univ. of Pretoria). His doctoral thesis is titled 'A Critical Analysis of Exclusionary Clauses in Medical Contracts'. He has been engaged by L.E.A.D. of the Law Society of South Africa to present lectures to practicing attorneys and advocates country wide in subjects, including Contract Law (2009); Legal Writing for Litigation (Acted as co-facilitator with I. Hussain SC 2010); Medical Law (2011); Advanced Medical (2012 to the present) and Legal Interpretation (2013 to 2014). He has been appointed to lecture a course in Mediation in Medical Malpractice Disputes in 2017 for L.E.A.D. In 2015 he became the first attorney appointed by the Law Society of South Africa to reach out to the medical profession and to teach Medical Law and Ethics. Henry is a member of SAMLA, one of the Deputy National Chairpersons- Legal and Chairperson of the Eastern Cape. He has published widely.
