Moya holds a BA LLB LLM (Commercial Law)Degree from Stellenbosch University. In 2001 she completed her LLB degree as an exchange student at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. Moya commenced her legal career in Cape Town where she practised for 10 years before returning to her hometown of Port Elizabeth in 2010. She joined Greyvensteins Inc. in 2013 and became an equity Director in 2016 where she heads up its Family Law Department and is tasked with all litigation resulting from property or civil disputes flowing from the firm’s conveyancing department. Moya successfully completed the LSSA & LEAD Divorce Mediation training at the end of 2011. Until recently served as Chairperson of the South Eastern Dispute Resolution Association (SEDRA). She remains an active committee member. Moya also serves on the Cape Law Society's Alternative Dispute Resolution committee. Moya completed her UCT/ MiM Commercial Mediation training in 2016 and is a member of the MiM association of Mediators. Moya is passionate about promoting mediation as an ADR mechanism in order to create more awareness in society about this user-friendly, flexible and cost effective alternative to litigation.
