Johannes Mouton is a minister in the Dutch Reformed Church. He completed his Theological studies in 1996 and a Masters degree in 1999 at the University of Stellenbosch. He has been a minster in the Western Cape since then and had the opportunity to be involved in the resolution of various kinds of disputes and conflicts. He also has experience as a facilitator of processes in congregations. He believes that for a functioning society we need good relationships and positive ways of resolving conflict. He is therefore a firm believer that mediation is the best way to resolve conflict and ensure stable relationships. It not only costs less, but is much quicker and more effective. He has successfully completed the UCT/MiM mediation Course and is a member of Mediation in Motion.
