I am a qualified medical doctor, married with two children, a son and a daughter. I have furthered by education with a MBA from Wits and a PG diploma in Health Economics from UCT. Started working as a clinician for over two decades ago, having worked at most public health care facilities in Durban. After joining MBA in 2003, since me 2004 I have been working in various management structures both in private and public health sector in Gauteng. The wide range of my competencies are built around my public service, academic, research and management experiences. Both my clinical knowledge and MBA, has widened my interest in validating data both on clinical and financial aspects to mitigate risks and prioritize resource allocation. Alignment to governance & compliance framework has been my key area of strength. The dynamic health sector experiences have equipped me in practicing long-term sustainability and profitability. My leadership abilities are to have transparent processes and investing time within the team. This has enabled clarification, initiative and the ability to mitigate known risks and build on experiences from managing the unknown risks.
