I am a Medical Practitioner with a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. I also hold a Certificate in Management Advancement Programme and a Certificate in Medical Negligence training. I am currently holding position of Chief Executive Officer at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, the largest hospital in the country situated in SOWETO. Prior to this appointment I was the Chief Executive Officer at the Far East Rand Hospital. This is Regional Hospital in Ekurhuleni Health District, Gauteng Province. I have worked in the public health sector for a period of 16 years to date. I have spent ten of the sixteen years in management position, starting as a Superintendent in Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (2007), I was promoted to the position of Clinical Director at the same hospital in December 2010. In March 2016 I assumed position of Acting Chief Executive Officer at the Far East Rand Hospital. I have also worked in the private health sector as a general Practitioner for a period of 17 years before I joined the public health sector.
