Short Bio

Freda practised as an attorney in Sandton and Johannesburg between 1988 and 2002 specialising in insurance law, medical negligence, personal injuries and Road Accident Fund matters on behalf of the RAF. She was admitted as an advocate in 1991 and commenced practice at the Johannesburg Bar for 3 years in between. She joined the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in 2002 and was attatched to the Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) in Port Elizabeth as senior state advocate until 2014. She has a special interest in medical negligence, personal injuries and social justice issues affecting employees, women, children and the environment. She firmly believes that everyone should be heard and in natural justice.
