Yolanda qualified as an ADR Group (UK) mediator during 2008, traded in her litigation hat for the practice of mediation and has never looked back. Yolanda is an experienced mediator, trainer and coach and excels at work that engages compassion and brings about significant change. She enjoys working with the voiceless and is inspired to engage with, uplift and empower people, especially vulnerable groups and those in rural communities. She specializes in commercial mediation but has a strong focus on community related- and governmental disputes. She mediates matters for local- and provincial government and co-mediated the De Doorns Xenophobia dispute where more than 3000 foreign nationals were displaced. She co-authored a people’s guide to mediation for the Chamber of Trade Sweden, lectures a mediation module to advanced law students at Cape University of Technology and trained mediators for the built industry. Yolanda’s chosen career path is law and she practices as an advocate, but her passion is to resolve conflict peacefully, effectively, through innovative and lasting solutions.
